Leicester City coach Claudio Ranieri and former Chelsea was nominated for the position of Guinea nationwide coach.
Ranieri, who won the English Premier League with Leicester at 2016, was one of 87 applicants to the job and is one of 17 coaches listed for meeting with the Guinea Football Federation (Feguifoot).
According Feguifoot, the 2016 Fifa coach of this year is scheduled to be interviewed in Conakry on Thursday to.
Ranieri is the most high profile trainer.
He left Roma in May, having coached a Huge array of European clubs such as Inter Milan, Juventus, Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, Valencia and Monaco.
Other names on the shortlist are the former DR Congo trainer Florent Ibenge, Tunisia and Algeria coach Georges Leekens along with the Belgium.

G2 Esports’ LEC Summer Split winner Marcin’Jankos’ Jankowski revealed SK Telecom T1 is the team so he can take a picture with their mid laner Faker.
Lee’Faker’ Sang-hyeok confessed after SKT appeared victorious at the LCK he wants to meet G2, who knocked them out at MSI, in Worlds.

« Perhaps this time, in Worlds, I can get a picture before groups but then again if we get through to the semi-finals and need to face SKT, he would still have that psychological edge in the back of his brain. So, I really don’t know whether it is a good idea to get a picture with Faker but when I can, I’d do it because I’m still a huge fan boy. »
Faker really isn’t the only player Jankos is looking forward to facing on SKT. In addition, he wants to prove himself against SKT’s junlger Kim’Clid’ Tae-min.
He explained: »I believe Clid is really good, I wish to step up my performance from the last time I confronted him so I can outclass him at least play just as well as him in game. »
