Montpellier was not stopped by A red card for Jacques du Plessis as they held on for a 30-27 win over Gloucester at the Champions Cup.
Converted tries from Jan Serfontein and Nemani Nadolo aided the hosts establish a 14-point lead at half-time in the Pool 5 clash, however, Gloucester hit back through Matt Banahan before second row du Plessis has been ignored for foul play.
Gloucester was given hope of completing the comeback by A converted try from replacement Joe Simpson in the 75th minute, but they had to pay for a bonus point as the side held out for the win.
Benoit Paillaugue kicked once Montpellier captured the first attempt of the match eight minutes 30, off the hosts ahead with a 14th-minute penalty and the scrum-half was available to convert.
It came when complete and then the ball was quickly shifted by a scrum to winger Yvan Reilhac, that put off the touchline and then kicked for center Serfontein into snaffle the ball.
Billy Twelvetrees got Gloucester around the board with a penalty in the 28th minute and the visitors clawed themselves back into the competition with four minutes to go until half time as Lloyd Evans put up half-back spouse Callum Bradley for a score and broke.
Montpellier responded with the previous act of the half however and Nadolo composed to be refused a spectacular try from the TMO after having a string of Montpellier scrums on Gloucesters lineup led to the giant Fijian forcing his way over for a converted try to place his negative 24-10 up in the rest.
The visitors made a bright start to the second half and have been rewarded when Braley delivered Banahan crashing through the defensive line in close range to get a six minutes after play resumed.

Twelvetrees and Paillaugue subsequently exchanged penalties as the match however, the deficit had narrowed to three points with five minutes to perform.
Louis Rees-Zammit showed great vision to put right down the right touchline which was gathered by winger Ollie Thorley and he was stopped short, substitute scrum-half Simpson managed to scamper over to his try in eight games.
Evans conversion guaranteed that it could be nail-biting finish, nevertheless some indiscipline murdered a final attacking opportunity that Gloucester and Montpellier were able to run the clock down to chalk up their first win of the seasons Champions Cup, moving up into second in the pool.

After coming back from a deficit to procure a win over Blackpool, coventry secured all three points.
Blackpool took the lead after only 57 minutes when Liam Feeney’s floated cross detected Sullay Kaikai at the back post, his negative footed looped over Marko Marosi and into the net.
Kaikai caught his second after 38 minutes, then James Husband teeing up Kaikai in the box, who struck the ball.
Coventry were back in the game after 41 minutes after Fankaty Dabo cross from the right found Matty Godden the striker completing time, in the place.
Wesley Jobello then made it 2-2 in first-half stoppage-time. The ball fell into Jordy Hiwula, who laid it off to his effort and Jobello beat at Alnwick and found the roof of the net from the box.
Coventry then found a winner in time . Aston Villa loanee Callum O’Hare was fed through by Hiwula, and the ball was crushed by the midfielder .

Ferrari motorists Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc state theyve set their dispute over team requests at the Russian Grand Prix supporting them.
Vettel discounted orders to let Leclerc a number of times in the early laps of the race, reneging on a pre-race agreement between the drivers and team.
We talked about it, even more than once. It is pretty clear and it is two weeks before, so moving forward, said Vettel.
Leclerc statedeverything is clear more than what he called amisunderstanding.
The 21-year-old from Monaco included:Clearly it felt as though it was a massive deal from the exterior – which it certainly wasnt. But, yeah, now everything is fine.
The agreement with the drivers ahead of the race in Russia of the team had been for Leclerc, who started from pole position, to give Vettel, who opened third behind Lewis Hamiltons Mercedes, a slipstream down to the corner to make sure they ran one-two.
The strategy was for Leclerc to allow Vettel overtake him to the first corner, but also for Vettel to let him back into the lead.
However, Vettel refused to move over claiming they should attempt to pull clear of Hamilton prior to doing the manoeuvre, then Leclerc was too much behind for him to slow down and then allow him past.
In the long run, the problem was resolved at the pit stops, when Ferrari pitted Leclerc initial and conducted Vettel more, which enabled Leclerc to operate faster on new tyres and thus be forward when Vettel left his pit stop, although the team refused this had been deliberate.
Leclerc, who joined Ferrari this season, said it had beenclear from the start of the season the group had to obey team orders added:Whats clear is that the situation was not clear for the drivers, starting the raceand I believe that is the most important (thing).

Vettel added:We didnt write anything in stone. Obviously likely certain things we could have done better looking back but in the end we look forward to this race and the next races.
The 32-year-old denied that his activities were affected by the fact that Leclerc was out-performing him in preceding races.
Leclerc has won 2 races and Vettel a single, has five sticks for his one, and has Vettel nine times in a row.
Vettel stated:Obviously Im happy if Im slower, while its qualifying or practice or race. And that is the exact same not only this past year.
There are definite things this season (by which) I struggled here and there with the car which did not let me possibly infusion my best, but I dont think that it would have been another if anyone else would have been at the other vehicle.
Charles was doing a very good job, but its largely, I usually believe, a race against yourself and then the others. In that regard, I fought to extract everything I understand I have in me.
However on the other side it also appears different on the outside than its on the inside. There have been races at which matters maybe didnt fall into place so didnt look that great on the outside but we were doing the proper things and tackling the ideal things on the interior, so I am not concerned in that respect
Hamilton described the scenario at Ferrari asan interesting dynamic, saying:There is always going to be more friction because youve contradictory objectives. Its a team but its also an individual game with two motorists and you are constantly trying to balance friction and that conflict.
Its managing from the top down. It is just how its handled, and communication is key. There are different philosophies between these two teams and in these years well see how it functions.

The Bloody Elbow team has made its picks for UFC 225, and I’m not sure I should be calling this »UFC 225: Whittaker vs. Romero 2. » For now, Robert Whittaker and Yoel Romero hasn’t been cancelled after Romero’s weight miss, but we know it’s not for a title fight. Theoretically this probably needs to be Rafael dos Anjos vs. Colby Covington because the main event, irrespective of the status of Whittaker vs. Romero.
Anyway, everyone is going with Robert Whittaker over Yoel Romero for Saturday night. In terms of the co-main event, just Phil Mackenzie is going with Colby Covington to conquer Rafael dos Anjos and eventually become the interim welterweight champion.

Robert Whittaker vs. Yoel Romero
Anton Tabuena: Romero will remain harmful, but Whittaker is likely to be the person who has made the most improvements because their first bout. I would’ve chosen Whittaker even before Romero looking like death on the scale, and now I expect a more one-sided affair this time. Robert Whittaker by TKO.
Mookie Alexander: Well Romero missed weight. This is now a non-title bout, and it’s three rounds (I am presuming ). Anyway, these were my ideas before the burden miss, and nothing changes . My pick hinges almost entirely on Whittaker not appearing depleted after each of the health issues that plagued him earlier in the year. His takedown defense is incredible, and even when Romero got him down, he could not hold him there… which was with Whittaker’s knee getting jacked by Romero from the opening round! I really don’t feel that changes in the rematch, and he struggles at a pace and times his strikes even better compared to Yoel does. Their very first bout is still the only time Romero was outlanded at a UFC battle. I am expecting Romero to fight this one strategically because he did Luke Rockhold. But, Rockhold is a somewhat simple and comparatively wooden striker, whereas Whittaker cuts angles and throws in penalizing combinations. I know there’s the third-round Romero fear, but do not rule out Whittaker planting Romero using a head kick. The pick is still Robert Whittaker by conclusion, although I’m hoping we get another thriller.
