Mark Wilson is relishing the possibility of stepping out in an England shirt onto the St James’ Park to face Italy on Friday night.
The row has been named in the starting line-up for its Quilter International before Eddie Jones’ side head with the game.
Wilson has played club at the floor, featuring in Newcastle Falcons’ Gallagher Premiership clash with Sale Sharks – the club he will join on loan to the 2019/20 season – .
But the 29-year-old demonstrated how much it’ll mean to attribute in a city which has been a part of his life because he joined the Falcons youth set aged 14 for England in their first international.
« It will be a very happy moment, » Wilson explained. « I performed at St James’ earlier in the season, against Sale, and it’s such a distinctive place.
« The opportunity to play with such a distinctive arena is something that you’ve got to love and is something I’m really enthusiastic about.
« I suppose it will be exciting for a whole good deal of the youngsters who go and watch Newcastle, being in a position to observe an England Test match at their front door.
« I am sure there are a great deal of rugby fans around who maybe do not get the opportunity to go to Twickenham much and I am sure it will be a thrilling experience for them. »
While Ruaridh McConnochie is determined to win his first cap after two false starts, wilson will make his first start of England’s pre-World Cup campaign from the Italians.
The Toilet winger was named to face Wales at the games at Twickenham and the Principality Stadiumto need to pull from both trauma.
Additionally included in the team are three players from outside the 31-man World Cup squad in Matt Kvesic, Charlie Ewels along with Joe Marchant. Whereas Ewels and Kvesic are about the substitutes bench, lines upwards at outside centre alongside Piers Francis.
England go into the match on the rear of a record 57-15 win over Ireland in Twickenham just under a couple of weeks ago, while opponents Italy were beaten 47-19 from France in Paris last Saturday.
Head coach Connor O’Shea has made 11 changes with that match to the XV that was Italian, such as bringing Gloucester’s Callum Braley – who qualifies for Italy by his grandfather – in to win with his third cap for the Azzurri.
« We will confront among the most powerful teams on the planet in a match which reflects the next step in our preparation for the Rugby World Cup, » O’Shea said.

The other Celtics Tests of italy have found them lose 29-10 into Ireland at Dublin, followed by an win in the home to Russia.
