The MLB is put up using a total of eight matches on the plank for Monday night. Among the greatest matchups set for August 19 will be involving the Milwaukee Brewers and the St. Louis Cardinals. Both of these teams are right in the mix for the top spot. This game will start at approximately 7:45 PM Eastern time on Monday night.
The Brewers are in third position of the NL Central. Milwaukee is just two games behind the St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Cubs to the best place in the branch. The Brewers have lost four of their past six games, including a loss on Sunday. Milwaukee will seem to finish out this road trip.
St. Louis is tied together with the Chicago Cubs for the best spot in the NL Central this year. The Cardinals have set up a listing of 65-57 to the point in this season. St. Louis has won seven of their last nine games and will look to continue this hot streak as they attempt to create some distance in the top place. This homestand powerful with a win on Monday night, the Cardinals will look to begin.
The NL Central race would be the tightest in the MLB this year with three teams fighting it out to the guide. The Cardinals and the Brewers both need a few wins here within this particular series, which ought to help amp up the intensity. I expect both teams to come out strong because they look to knock their division rival in the first game of this series.
Both of these teams met up to start off this year in Milwaukee. Christian Yelich hit a three-run homer in the game to help lead the Brewers to a 5-4 win. Paul Goldschmidt had three home runs in the next match. Travis Shaw and Mike Moustakas both had home runs in the next inning of the game as Milwaukee won 4-2. Christian Yelich hit on a walk-off double in the last game of the series to give the Brewers a win.
The second series of the year was on April 15-17 back in Milwaukee. As they took the match 10-7 christian Yelich had two three-run homers for the Brewers. Yelich struck on another house run to assist power Milwaukee into an 8-4 win and then came out in the next match. Michael Wacha allowed five hits and 2 runs through six innings as the Cardinals bounced back with a 6-3 victory in the next game.
The third and latest series shifted to St. Louis on April 22-24. The Cardinals rode a seven-run seventh inning to a 13-5 win. Paul DeJong hit the go-ahead home run in the next match as St. Louis won 4-3. Marcell Ozuna hit on a three-run homer as Adam Wainwright allowed one run and four hits and pitched six innings. The Cardinals swept the series with a 5-2 win.
The Cardinals and the Brewers have gone. Both of these teams have not met up as late April and a great deal has changed for the two teams since then. Both of these teams played lots of close games early in the summer and I wouldnt expect anything on Monday nights outing.
Christian Yelich has continued to lead this team this year. Yelich has got 141 strikes, 41 home runs, 89 RBIs along with an OPS of 1.121 this season. Up 119 strikes have been set by mike Moustakas, and 71 RBIs run. Lorenzo Cain has 113 hits and 40 RBIs, although Ryan Braun has 106 strikes and 18 homers. Yasmani Grandal includes 20 home runs 99 strikes and 61 RBIs. Eric Thames orlando Arcia, and Keston Hiura all have double-digit home runs also.
Paul Goldschmidt has had a strong season so far and 68 RBIs run. Paul DeJong has made 21 homers 110 hits and 56 RBIs. Kolten Wong includes 44 RBIs with 9 home runs and 104 hits. Although Dexter Fowler has earned 87 hits and 14 homers marcell Ozuna has 88 strikes, 22 home runs and 67 RBIs. Matt Carpenter includes 71 strikes and 11 homers.
St. Louis has a solid hitting lineup, however, they are not quite on the amount of the Brewers. Milwaukee has and has one of the best hitters in Yelich. They will need their pitcher to step up to try and slow down the Brewers crime on Monday night, although the Cardinals have a solid lineup.
Zach Davies will begin on the mound for Milwaukee on Monday night. Davies has an record by which his 23 starts this season. He has an ERA of 3.74 and a WHIP of 1.394. Where he allowed four runs and seven hits during four innings davies last start came on August 2 from the Chicago Cubs. His last three starts have been tough ones, but he will look to bounce back from St. Louis.
Dakota Hudson will start in Mondays tilt for the Cardinals. Hudson has got a 3.82 ERA and a WHIP of 1.555 through 25 matches this year. In these 25 games, hes put a listing of 11-6 for St. Louis. Hudsons last start came from the Kansas City Royals, in which he allowed no runs and five hits .
These two pitchers match up pretty well with each other. Hudson has a general record that is better and has played far better as of late, however, Davies gets the better ERA and WHIP. Davies has had three tough begins in a row, but I would watch for him to break from this slump with this enormous divisional game on the line.
The Brewers and the Cardinals have gone 5-5 against each other this year, however, St. Louis is 3-0 at home against Milwaukee. I believe that the Brewers have a fantastic chance to earn their first win in St. Louis on Monday night. Milwaukee has a hitting lineup that is powerful and that I think with the days of rest for Davies, hell come out strong on Monday.
BetOnline has St. Louis listed as a -128 from the cash line. This suggests that the Cardinals will win this match approximately 56.1% of the moment. I believe that an important divisional game like this one needs to be closer to even. Both teams need a win in this show, and I expect them to play. I enjoy the Brewers as underdogs at the very first game of the series.
