Marcus Edwards, that was once compared to Lionel Messi from Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino, looks set to join with an Portuguese club on a permanent deal.
The attacking midfielder needed a loan stint at the Netherlands last time, where he made 25 appearances for Excelsior.
He also had a loan spell in Norwich but only made one Championship look for the side of Daniel Farke.
Even the 20-year-old has been the best scorer in the U19 UEFA Youth League at 2017/18 with four goals in six starts through the group phase, and is under contract before 2020 in Tottenham.
He scored a further five goals in nine Premier League two appearances.
Edwards has represented England at U20, U17, U18, U19 and U16 levels – winning the European U19 Championship at Georgia at 2017 with the Young Lions.
