Odell Beckham Jr??has accused Cleveland Browns defensive co-ordinator Gregg Williams of allowing gamers to »take me out »
The Pro Bowl receiver suffered a serious ankle sprain when preceding Cleveland cornerback while Beckham was using the New York Giants his legs cut out.
He explained: »It’s a known rule, in preseason nobody from the NFL is actually out to do stuff like this.
« Cleveland players told me that is what he was telling them to perform, take me from the match. So you know that he is. That is the person calling the plays. »
He called more of the same in Williams, the interim coach of Cleveland this past year and today Jets defensive co-ordinator when asked what he might face after the Browns go to the New York Jets on Monday.
Beckham Jr added: »I’ve just got to look out for the cheap shots, the filthy strikes and all the things that he likes to educate. Aside from that, I expect the same. »
The 2014 Offensive Rookie of the Year, 26, then broke his arm following the probate, and he maintained he was told by doctors that the two injuries were connected.
« I came back probably three weeks too early because they dropped the first game of the season and that I believed that pressure to playwith.
« That large ankle sprain resulted in the broken ankle on the left and right then which resulted in compensation in many diverse locations and only kind of like a small spiral, so it is something that I will never forget.
« It is something which it changed my life forever »
Williams was suspended from the NFL for a single season because of his role in the notorious’Bountygate’ scandal where the New Orleans Saints were discovered to have operated a bounty system for injuring gamers where players had been paid bonuses.
One of the division’s most gifted and contentious assistants, Williams led the Browns to a 5-3 record last year. Freddie Kitchens got the job although he has been interviewed for Cleveland’s training vacancy.
