When Cleveland cornerback his legs cut out while Beckham was with the New York Giants the Pro Bowl receiver suffered a serious ankle sprain.
He explained: »It’s a known principle, in preseason nobody from the NFL is really out to do things like that.
« Cleveland players told me that’s what he was telling them to do, take me from this game. So that you realize that he is. That’s the man calling the plays »
When asked what he would face after the Browns visit the New York Jets on Mondayhe called more of the same in Williams, Cleveland coach and Jets defensive co-ordinator.
Beckham Jr added: »I’ve only got to look out for the cheap shots, so the filthy strikes and all the things that he likes to educate. Apart from that, I hope the same. »
The 2014 Offensive Rookie of the Year, 26, subsequently broke his ankle after the probate, and he maintained physicians told him the 2 injuries were also attached.
« I came back probably three months too early because they dropped the first match of the season and that I felt that pressure to playwith.
« That high ankle sprain led to the shoulder on the left and then which led to reimbursement in many distinct places and only kind of like a little spiral, therefore it’s something that I will never forget.
« It’s something that it altered my life forever »
Williams was suspended by the NFL for one season for his role in the infamous’Bountygate’ scandal where the New Orleans Saints were found to have worked with a bounty system in which players were paid bonuses.
Among the division assistants, Williams led the Browns last year after taking over when Hue Jackson had been fired. He has been nominated for the training vacancy of Cleveland but Freddie Kitchens got the task.
